After a brief safety and paddling introduction, guests launch into calm coastal waterways perfect for beginners and experienced paddlers alike.

Along the way, guests frequently encounter playful dolphins in their natural habitat, with occasional sightings of gentle manatees and sea turtles. Your local guide shares fun stories and coastal history throughout the adventure, adding a unique local perspective to your time on the water.

We kayak up to scenic Bird Island, a protected bird preserve where guests respectfully observe the island’s natural beauty and bird populations from the water. Pelicans, herons, egrets, osprey, and other coastal birds are commonly seen nesting and feeding in this untouched environment. While the island itself is preserved for wildlife protection, guests enjoy exploring and swimming near the surrounding shallow sandbars in Clearwater’s crystal-clear waters.

From Bird Island, guides also point out views across the water toward Clearwater’s historic Millionaire’s Mile, sharing stories about the area’s early settlement and its connection to the historic Fort Harrison — one of the first military posts established in Clearwater during the Seminole War era.
